There is an obvious plot on many fronts to make people in the United States weak and dependent. Government is the number one (but not the only) culprit with regards to creating this dependency (regardless of political party). This has become evident by how often they punish success and reward failure, whether it be through the tax code or regulations. The system is designed to milk the self-sufficient, while simultaneously rewarding both the poorest and richest among us.
Keeping us dependent isn’t limited to governments. The media, for the most part, preaches how we need to be taken care of. We are treated like children and victims, every problem is caused by someone else, and they will solve those problems. The healthcare system, corporations, schools all want us to need them in one way or another. Whether this is accidental or deliberate, I am not sure. I am not necessarily one of those conspiracy theorists, preaching about the Illuminati. Yet it doesn’t seem like many giant organizations want us to be self-sufficient. Let me break down how each area attempts to make us dependent on them…but first, why?
Why Make Us Dependent
There are two motivations as to why it is so alluring to keep you dependent …
Power/Money
I think the motivation is slightly different for every group, but at the end of the day the main motivation is power and cash. When someone is dependent on you, you have power over them. Those on top want you dependent so they can suck you dry (not in a good way). While you work your ass off; they dole out the fruits of your labor. They tell you that you need the governments social security, so you will vote in those that will protect it. If the media scares you into a crisis, you depend on them for information. They then can steer you into whatever half-brain cause they see fit. When your life depends on someone else you are as free as a child whose parents lets them ride their bike down the street.
Elitism and Contempt
Politicians, the media, and especially Hollywood, operate under this notion that they are better than you. They sit on a thrown and we need to bow at their feet(in their eyes). They know how you should live your life; therefore they focus on making it so you need them. Experts know better than you as to what is good for your well-being. Somehow what is best always parallels their values, but not your self-interest.
The media especially, think they are above us. Just look at Chris Cuomo, he talks to the audience as if he is on a pedestal with all eyes on him. If he doesn’t get the attention, he thinks he deserves, he gives himself Corona (OK that last part is just a working theory).
Since they look at themselves as if they are gods, they also have contempt for the average person. Most of these institutions believe we are too stupid to take care of ourselves. How dare we think we are adults and do not need them. How to eat, how much of our money to keep, what to say, and now if we can even go outside is regulated and enforced by various institutions. You want in their special club? The only way to rise in the ranks is if they let you into their club, and to do this you have to drink the Kool-aide. Let us take a look at each component…
The Government
Government leaders in both parties are the guiltiest of the guilty in terms of keeping us dependent on them. They get off on us looking to them for answers. Hopefully we will forget they f*cked up everything they touch… a minor detail.
Look no further than this crises, they have the solution to the problem of course. The idea that this could be solved without them is crazy in their mind. The Covid-19 virus, although real, is being used as a power grab by the government. Our government is putting small companies out of business and then patting themselves on the back for the stimulus they are offering (but we are paying for), in turn making people dependent on them. For god’s sake they basically put me out of a job, and now I must crawl to them for unemployment. The government, not you, will tell you how to be safe, and isn’t it convenient that we need to trade freedom for safety.
Finance
Financially speaking government loves to “take care of you”. Social Security is a scam, one that everyone loves, yet peel the onion and you can see what a farce it is. Instead of being able to choose to privately invest your money, the government forces you to put your money away with them. The rate of return is somewhere near 0%, if you die, for the most part, you can’t pass it on to anyone…oh and it is going bankrupt. The result is, if all you have is social security, you are kept on the government tit, just barely able to keep your head above water..
Universal Basic Income, free college, free housing etc… these are all ways to make you dependent. It is in the governments best interest that you are kept just above poverty…if you don’t need them anymore, then these power-hungry elitists have no purpose.
The Media
The news in this country is no longer there to inform you, they are there to tell you what to think. They want you to depend on them so they can run your life for you. Media today is dumbed down into one-liners or short headlines, to keep complex issues simple so as to easily keep their narrative.
According to the media, we are constantly the victims, and the solution is usually letting them lead us to the promise land. Somehow that always entails shredding the constitution a little more. It is a power trip for many of these news outlets. A weak audience is a dependent audience. If you weren’t scared and turning to them for guidance, they might have to step off their cloud. It is no secret that the media, even the mainstream media is extremely left-wing.
Now, simply hating Donald Trump does not make you liberal, the guy can be an asshole, so I get it. When the vast majority of their stories bash capitalism and tell you how much you need the government to take care of you, there is a problem. It is a contempt for the average person that drives them.
Corporations
Clearly, people depend on a paycheck and that is logical. You are expected to work hard and are given compensation for this, and that is fair. More than fair, it is how capitalism works. I have worked for various corporations for about 20 years. With this in mind, if you have100% of your livelihood dependent on your job, they own you. Think about it, for about 45 years of your life you are being told what to do, where to go; and be happy with what you got.
It is in their best interest to keep you relying on your paycheck. This way you won’t complain about working 60/HR work weeks and getting a 2% raise once a year. You will fall in line with whatever bull $hit they tell you to do. Most of the time they give you just enough to keep afloat, with little room for advancement. I have been in situations where I was “promoted” given four times the amount of work and told there is no money for a raise. What can I do? I personally left for a different company, but most are too scared to speak up.
People are so beat-down by companies they are theirs to manipulate. They not only take your workday, but also nights and weekends. Folks are trained to think even the vacation days they were promised are not too be used.
You are directed where to be, what to wear, and even what to say. The fact that some companies monitor employees social media posts shows they want total obedience. If your thoughts are not aligned with theirs you will lose your livelihood.
This goes beyond one doing an exceptional job and getting a good wage for their efforts. What they want is your submission. I can give many examples of corporations manipulating their employees for goals that have nothing to do with their job duties. Companies will enact laws and rules for no other reason then to show you that you are their servant.
The above are just a few of the organizations that need you to depend on them. I can go on to include the health care system, Hollywood, Colleges…but I am sure I can only keep your attention span for so long.
Conclusion: What is the Point?
What is the point of this rant, you might ask? The purpose of this blog is to help people (and myself) take back their own power. You cannot have power if you depend on others to exist. They will tell you there is no way you can survive without the government for subsistence and safety. These are the lies that are repeated to keep us dependent.
Popular wisdom also feeds us that one must get all of their income from a job or corporation, but these are lies as well. There are income streams that are not dependent on a company. If you never question the medias intent, you will not be free of mind…but you will think what they want you to. My goal is to empower as many people as possible, by pointing out how much others want you to depend on them. This in turn will help you reclaim your own life. – TRUTH BE TOLD
